Identity Governance
Also known as: IGA
Governance
Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) covers how access is requested, approved, reviewed, certified, and removed. In hybrid Microsoft estates it must span Active Directory and Entra ID so decisions change real memberships, not only reports.
Why it matters
Without governance, access drifts, privileged groups grow, and audits become fire drills. Governance turns identity into an evidence-producing control.
